Employer Supported Volunteerism Survey
The Volunteer Centre of Guelph/Wellington is interested to know how people in our community volunteer and the ways in which their employers support, or would consider supporting them. The results from this survey will be used to inform the Volunteer Centre’s work with our community's employers.
The survey should only take 10-15 minutes of your time and is completely confidential. The survey is best completed by someone who has knowledge of your company's human resources.
To complete the survey, click here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SX555ZB.
If you have any questions about this survey, or the work of the Volunteer Centre, contact Christine Oldfield at 519-822-0912 ext. 222 or coldfield@volunteerguelphwellington.on.ca
WorkTogether.ca
The final research report and presentations from our September 20 symposium on Collaboration are now available on the WorkTogether website: http://www.worktogether.ca/cci. The site is still under construction, but promises to be a great resource for our community.
Launch of YouthEngaged.ca website

We are pleased to announce that our new website, www.youthengaged.ca, is now live! This website is a new and exciting resource for high school students who are looking to get involved in social initiatives or earn community service hours for the 40 hour requirement for graduation.
This year we will be running a 5-10-20 campaign, where students will be able to select volunteer opportunities based on how many hours they'd like to put in - 5 hours, 10 hours, or 20 hours. We've also created step-by-step guides for students who are interested in creating their own community service projects based on their interests, skills, and passions.
April 14, 2011
An all-star cast of community volunteers, organizations and employers will grace the Galaxy Cinema's red carpet for the premiere of short films made to celebrate volunteering. 2011 Films will join the 2010 and 2009 shorts on the Volunteer Centre's film page on our website and our YouTube channel. Visit our film page.
