Volunteer Centre Open House

When: Friday December 4th, 1:00-4:00pm
Where: Volunteer Centre office, 46 Cork Street East, Guelph

In celebration of International Volunteer Day, the Volunteer Centre of Guelph/Wellington is hosting its 5th annual open house for member agencies and member agency volunteers. Members are invited to attend this drop-in networking session from 1-4pm at the Volunteer Centre offices. There will be a special presentation at 3:00pm to recognize and celebrate the volunteers who have been profiled in SNAP Guelph, as well as a special presentation by Volunteer Centre staff on the results of the most recent Canada Survey on Giving Volunteering and Participating. Light refreshments will be provided.

Organizations and inviduals who are not members but are interested in learning more about the Volunteer Centre are also invited to drop by.

International Volunteer Day (IVD) takes place on December 5th each year and was created to recognize and appreciate volunteerism in local communities throughout the world. IVD is officially recognized by the United Nations and is celebrated by organizations globally. For more information about IVD: http://www.worldvolunteerweb.org/
