Workshops
As part of our commitment to provide education and training activities both to volunteers and organizations that use volunteers, the Volunteer Centre of Guelph/Wellington presents a monthly schedule of workshops each year.  Topics of recent sessions have included: strategic planning, financial stewardship, AGM 101, and best practices for recruiting and retaining volunteers.

Events
The Volunteer Centre hosts a variety of events to promote vounteerism in our community.  Yearly events include:

• "Time to Give" - our community breakfast on volunteering. See photos from our 7th annual breakfast held April 23, 2009!
• National Volunteer Week activities
• Student Volunteer Fair
• Volunteer Centre Open House celebrating December 5th, the International Day of the Volunteer

For Volunteer Centre events or workshops which require payment cash or cheque is accepted prior to or on the day of the event.
Cancellation Policy:  Fees for workshops, training opportunities and events are due prior to or on the date of the event. The Volunteer Centre of Guelph/Wellington reserves the right to request fees in advance. Participants who have registered for a workshop, training opportunity or event with the Volunteer Centre of Guelph/Wellington will be invoiced for the fee associated with the event if cancellation is not made at least 48 hours prior to the date and time of the event. Cancellation fees will be waived if the participant can find and guarantee an alternate to attend.

Member Events
As a service to our members, we also post the events and activites of our member agencies.  Members can submit their events by e-mail with details about date and time, location, cost and a description.  Contact us to showcase your event today!
